Please read these terms carefully before using Trimlane. By using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Trimlane is a subscription-tracking tool for personal use. You own your data, you are responsible for how you use the app, and we provide the service as-is. Be respectful, keep your account secure, and enjoy the app.
By downloading, installing, or using the Trimlane iOS app or the Trimlane Chrome extension (together, "Trimlane," "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Trimlane helps you find, track, and manage recurring subscription charges. The Chrome extension scans billing-related emails in your Gmail inbox, locally in your browser, to detect subscriptions. The iOS app lets you review, organize, and get renewal reminders for what's found — all stored on your device and in your own private iCloud.
Trimlane is a tracking tool, not a financial institution. It does not connect to your bank, move money, or cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Trimlane. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to agree to these terms.
Trimlane doesn't require a Trimlane account. The iOS app syncs your data through your own Apple ID and iCloud; the Chrome extension stores its results locally in your browser. You are responsible for keeping the device and Apple ID you use to access Trimlane secure — we have no way to access, recover, or restore data stored only in your iCloud or your browser.

The Chrome extension requests read-only Gmail access solely to detect subscription-related emails, as described in our Privacy Policy. This use adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke this access at any time from your Google Account permissions or by uninstalling the extension.
Trimlane, its logo, and all associated app and extension content are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. The subscription data Trimlane detects and stores remains yours.
Trimlane is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Detection is based on parsing email metadata and isn't guaranteed to find every subscription, or to be free of errors in price, billing date, or service name. Trimlane doesn't guarantee any specific amount of savings, and renewal reminders are estimates based on the billing data found — always confirm details with the service provider before cancelling.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trimlane and its team aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed renewals, inaccurate detections, or decisions made based on the app's output.
You can stop using Trimlane at any time by deleting the app, uninstalling the extension, and removing associated data from your device and iCloud. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, or any part of it, at any time — your locally stored data is unaffected, since we never hold a copy of it.
We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of Trimlane after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless local law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
